Zebra Stripes

1. When making the ProudBelly Cast, use the tips on this web page and contained in the instruction sheet regarding getting a really smooth finish while doing the casting.

2. Let the cast completely dry.

3. Clean out the Vaseline following the tips on this web page and contained in the instruction sheet.

4. Trim the edges using scissors to achieve a straight edge so the cast would hang flat against the wall.

5. Drill holes to hang the ProudBelly Cast.

6. Lightly sand the cast using the sanding screen contained in our kit. Sand the edges smooth. No additional plaster of paris or joint compound was applied. The cast was pretty smooth after the careful application of the casting strips.

7. Paint the cast with 2 coats of white latex house paint.

8. Draw the design on the cast in pencil and use black acrylic paint to paint the zebra stripes.

9. After the cast has completely dried, spray it with 2 coats of clear gloss. This product is available at your local craft or home improvement store.

10. Add ribbon to hang.
