Leather
(decoupage)

1. Decoupage is one of my favorite ways to decorate belly casts. It is so simple and so many different effects can be achieved. If you can cut and paste, you can decoupage! Basically, you either use just one pattern either from cloth or tissue paper or cut out pictures, then you glue them onto the belly cast using decoupage medium (it looks like and has the consistency of Elmer's glue). You then coat your cloth, tissue paper or pictures that have covered the belly cast with a few coats of decoupage medium to protect and seal it.

2. The medium used here is brown kraft paper, which when it dries, looks like leather. Decoupage medium can be found at your local craft store.

3. Rip a bunch of strips of brown kraft paper.

4. Using a sponge brush, brush the back of a piece of paper with decoupage medium and apply it front of your ProudBelly Cast. Once applied, apply decoupage medium to the front of the paper as well.

5. Continue with each piece of kraft paper until the entire cast is covered.

6. Now, brush the entire front surface of your covered ProudBelly Cast with decoupage medium to protect and seal it. Allow to dry completely.

7. Add ribbon to hang if you desire.
